Janhvi Kapoor glams up her garage with Range Rover

The latest celebrity to join the Range Rover club is Janhvi Kapoor as she was spotted in her swanky new SUV. This is the latest addition to her luxury car collection that already consists of three SUVs including a Mercedes-Benz GLE 250 d, BMW X5 and the colossal Lexus LX 570. Recently, Jaguar Land Rover announced that the company has begun assembling its flagship SUV, the Range Rover, here in India. Due to this, there’s a massive price cut of the SUV from Rs 29 lakh to Rs 44 lakh. According to reports, the Bollywood heartthrob owns the Range Rover 3.0 HSE LWB trim. We take a look at Janhvi Kapoor’s SUV collection. 

Range Rover LWD

The Range Rover is an all-time favourite for celebrities, sports persons, entrepreneurs and even politicians. Janhvi Kapoor beaming from ear to ear with her new Range Rover 3.0 HSE LWB. Interesting to note is that her cousin Sonam Kapoor owns the rugged Land Rover Defender 110. Coming back to the Range Rover, it is powered by a 3-litre diesel power plant with 346 bhp and 700 Nm of torque. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and does 0 to 100 kmph in 6.3 seconds. According to Range Rover, the SUV has a top speed of 234 kmph. The Range Rover starts from Rs 2.36 lakh, ex-showroom. 

Mercedes-Benz GLE 250 d

This is an older model the Mercedes-Benz GLE as the German luxury car manufacturer offers the GLE 300d and GLE 450d. The GLE 250 d get a 2,143cc engine under its hood and has an output of 201 bhp and 500 Nm. This 4-wheel-drive vehicle gets a 9-speed automatic gearbox. The GLE 250 d came with five driving modes —Sport, Comfort, Slippery, Off-Road and Individual.

BMW X5 

The current BMW X5 is available both in petrol and diesel with a 48V mild hybrid system and are all-wheel-drive SUV. The xDrive40i gets a 3-litre 6-cylinder petrol engine with 375 bhp and 520 Nn. According to BMW, it does 0-100 kmph in 5.4 seconds. The X5 xDrive30d comes with a 3-litre 6-cylinder diesel engine with maximum power of 282 bhp and 650 Nm. The diesel X5 achieves 0-100 kmph in 6.1 seconds. Both the versions are mated to an 8-speed automatic with paddle shifters. The X5 petrol starts from Rs 97 lakh while diesel costs Rs 99 lakh, ex-showroom. 

Lexus LX 570

The Lexus LX 570 is one old-school ladder-frame SUV. It is very virtually indestructible and can be driven in the various challenging terrains like the Amazon, and Sahara desert to the treacherous mountains. The massive SUV is powered by a 5.7-litre V8 engine with an output of 362 bhp and 530 Nm of torque. It was priced at around Rs 2.7 crore. Currently, Lexus is offering the LX 500d which gets a 3,346cc diesel engine with 304 bhp and 700 Nm. The LX 500d costs Rs 2.82 crore, ex-showroom.
