According to recent updates, two individuals including the principal have been released after the interrogation.

Amid the NEET-UG paper leak allegations, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) intensified its probe into the Oasis school of Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, and interrogated staff and principal on Wednesday.

After a 12-member CBI team arrived in Hazaribag on Tuesday evening, the team visited the school on Wednesday, with some members also going to the main branch of the State Bank of India (SBI) in the district, as the bank manager was reportedly the custodian of the question papers, PTI reported.

The CBI interrogated Dr Ehsanul Haque, principal of Oasis School and district coordinator of the NEET-UG exam in Hazaribag, for several hours. They then took him to a guest house in Charhi, Hazaribag, where he and several others were reportedly questioned until late evening, according to sources.

CBI probe in Patna

Meanwhile, the Special CBI court in Patna has placed two accused in the NEET question paper leak case on CBI remand following a request from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday.

Baldev Kumar, also known as Chintu, and Mukesh Kumar were remanded to CBI custody as part of the investigation into the NEET-UG question paper leak case. Currently, 18 accused are in custody for interrogation.

The hearing took place before CBI Special Judicial Magistrate Harsh Vardhan Singh, who granted the CBI’s request to take the accused on remand. Now, the CBI will further interrogate Chintu Kumar and Mukesh Kumar as part of their ongoing investigation.
