Maruti Suzuki is offering discounts across the entire Jimny range. The company’s Nexa brand is officially providing benefits worth up to Rs 1.5 lakh. The automobile manufacturer has faced challenges in selling this niche SUV, with only 274 units sold in May 2024. To boost sales, Maruti Suzuki launched a limited Jimny Thunder edition in December 2023, priced approximately Rs 2 lakh below the standard version.
June Discount: Up to Rs 1.5 lakh off on Maruti Suzuki Jimny
As June draws to a close, Maruti Suzuki is trying to boost the sales of the Jimny with substantial offers. The vehicle comes in two variants: Zeta and Alpha. The Zeta variant comes with a discount of Rs 50,000, whereas the premium Alpha variant is offered with a significant rebate of Rs 1.5 lakh.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny: Engine Specifications
The Jimny comes exclusively with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine, delivering an output of 103 bhp and 134.2 Nm of torque. This SUV offers a choice between a 5-speed manual transmission and a 4-speed automatic transmission. Maruti Suzuki claims that the manual version achieves 16.94 kmpl, while the automatic version delivers 16.39 kmpl.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny: Most affordable 4×4
The Jimny is available in two variants, Zeta and Alpha. The manual Jimny starts from Rs 12.74 lakh and the automatic from Rs 13.84 lakh, ex-showroom. Force Motors have recently revamped the Gurkha and have for the first time launched a 4-door version. The 3-door Gurkha costs Rs 16.75 lakh and the 4-door at Rs 18 lakh, ex-showroom. Mahindra, on the other hand, is working on a 4-door Thar, which will be launched this year. Currently, the 3-door Thar is priced from Rs 11.35 lakh to Rs 17.20 lakh, ex-showroom.
